Aluminum Foil Tape

Aluminum foil tape is a self-adhesive tape used to seal joints and overlaps on foil-faced insulation, HVAC ducting and vapor barrier facings. Its reflective foil surface matches aluminum facings and cladding, and when used with foil-faced insulation it continues the vapor barrier across the joint.

Aluminum foil tape is rated for -20°C to +120°C. The adhesive, not the foil, sets this limit, so the tape is intended for the cool outer face of insulation, ducting and facings rather than for direct contact with hot pipe or equipment surfaces.
